Although Buckingham does not have any public schools within its boundaries, residents are served by the following Arlington County Public Schools (APS):
Although our neighborhood has only one public park within its boundaries (Henry Wright Park), our residents also enjoy the nearby facilities at Lubber Run, the playground and baseball field at Barrett Elementary School and Mosaic Park.

This park is the first park in Arlington to have a playground that features a climbing wall, which is sure to be a hit with the young and old alike. This exciting feature takes climbers up and across four dynamic panels rising more than nine feet.

This park has a basketball and volleyball court, a picnic shelter including charcoal grills, a gazebo, playground, amphitheater and a nature trail!

Lubber Run is packed with great features including three meeting rooms, a multipurpose room, a game room, healthy vending machines, and public access desktop computers. The New Lubber Run Community Center Project is underway.

The Lubber Run Amphitheater is used by Arlington Cultural Affairs to mount fully-staged free productions during the summer months. There is bench-seating for roughly 700, with a total capacity of 1,100 including space for lawn chairs and blankets.
